Today its Saturday.
Its getting late and I have just come to realize that I need to get a few things from the store. This store does not open on Sunday, meaning I must go now or wait until Monday.
So I have hurriedly thrown on a sweater and put on my shoes, gotten my wallet, picked up my house keys…, Am I forgetting something? oh yeah, my mask.
Luckily for me, I haven’t gone down a whole flight of stairs or run to catch up with a bus only to realize I can’t get in because I forgot my mask.
This has been my story a number of times. I guess now I am beginning to adjust.
How long again did they say it takes to learn a new habit?
I am tired of wearing a mask. I do not like wearing a mask. It makes it hard for me to breath properly especially when I wear the traditional mask sold at the pharmacy and also my ears start to hurt. Worse is when I am in a closed space like in the bus. Thankfully, a friend handmade me a mask which is more convenient.
I know the importance of wearing one, and I am an advocate for everyone around me to wear one, but that will not stop me from complaining.
But I also can’t help but notice that people seem to be paying more attention to wearing a mask and have somehow forgotten that you still need to wash your hands or use a hand sanitizer.
If someone told me that this would be our new normal, as of early March, I would have laughed in their face.
We are straight out living a movie and if you did not believe everything and anything is possible before, now is the right time to start believing.
